At Parking Awareness, we prioritize fairness and transparency in all our operations, especially when it comes to the issuance of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs). We understand the significance of trust and clarity in financial matters, and have thus established the following policy regarding refunds for PCNs.
-
Incorrect Issuance: If a PCN was issued incorrectly, meaning the contravention stated on the signage did not actually occur, we will promptly issue a full refund for the PCN. To claim a refund under this provision:
- The claimant must provide evidence that the contravention did not occur.
- The claim must be made within 28 days from the payment being made for us to investigate.
-
Discretionary Refunds: Outside of incorrect issuance, refunds will be granted at the sole discretion of Parking Awareness. Factors we may consider include, but are not limited to:
- Extenuating circumstances leading to the contravention.
- Previous parking history with our facilities.
- Any other relevant information or evidence provided by the claimant.
-
Refund Process:
- To request a refund, please visit Parking Awareness and contact our enquiries team.
- Once we receive your request, it will be reviewed within 28 days.
- If approved, the refund will be processed and should appear in your account within 7 working days.
-
Exclusions: This policy does not cover PCNs issued by other parking operators or authorities. Ensure you are contacting the correct issuer for any refund requests.
-
Changes to this Policy: Parking Awareness reserves the right to update or modify this PCN Refunds Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
